Berri Street renovation
2014
The main floor of this hundred-year old urban cottage was rearranged to allow light to flow through the open living areas. A large full bathroom was demolished to allow the kitchen to have better access to the sun. The kitchen and living room are tied together by a datum line of shelf-becoming-bench, built of hemlock and custom steel brackets. Drywall, melamine, and tile finishes have been replaced with brick, reclaimed wood and metal, making the old house old again.
